Expert Foot and Lower Limb Care

Professional Podiatry for Mobility and Comfort

Your feet are the foundation of your entire body, carrying you through every step of your day. When a problem develops—whether it’s a sharp pain in the heel or a persistent skin irritation—it quickly impacts your mobility, your comfort, and your overall quality of life.

At The Whiteley Physiotherapy Centre, our Podiatry service offers professional, clinical care for the feet and lower limbs. From treating routine nail and skin conditions to performing complex biomechanical assessments, our goal is to keep you moving pain-free.

Our Podiatry clinic provides expert management for a wide range of foot health needs:

  • Biomechanical Issues: Plantar fasciitis (heel pain), Achilles tendinopathy, flat feet (over-pronation), and high arches.
  • Skin & Nail Care: Treatment for corns, calluses, hard skin, fungal nail infections, and ingrown toenails.
  • Deformities: Assessment and management of bunions and toe misalignments.
  • Specialist Care: Diabetic foot health checks and circulation assessments to prevent long-term complications.
  • Gait Analysis: Assessing the way you walk to identify the root cause of foot, knee, or hip pain.

Our Clinical Approach

We don’t just look at the foot in isolation. We analyse your “gait” (how you walk) to see how your foot mechanics affect your ankles, knees, and even your lower back.

If your foot structure is contributing to pain, we can prescribe and fit custom orthotics (specialist insoles). These are designed to redistribute pressure and correct your alignment.

We provide clinical treatment for skin and nail conditions that are often difficult or painful to manage at home, ensuring your feet remain healthy and infection-free.

For patients with diabetes, regular podiatry is essential. We provide the neurological and vascular screenings necessary to protect your feet from serious complications.

Your First Appointment

At The Whiteley Physiotherapy Centre, we combine a friendly, professional atmosphere with rigorous clinical standards. Your first session is about getting to the bottom of your discomfort.

  • A Comprehensive Assessment: Your podiatrist will take a full medical history and perform a physical examination of your feet and lower limbs.
  • What to bring: Please bring the footwear you wear most frequently—this includes your work shoes, your “everyday” walking shoes, and your sports trainers. The wear patterns on your soles provide vital clues about your gait.
  • Immediate Care: Where appropriate, treatment (such as skin or nail care) will begin in your very first session so you can leave the clinic feeling more comfortable than when you arrived.

We believe in realistic expectations. Many foot conditions, particularly those involving skin or nails, require consistent maintenance rather than a “one-off” fix.

Clinical Note: While a corn or callus can be removed in minutes, the reason it formed (usually a pressure imbalance) will remain unless we address your footwear or biomechanics.

If we are treating a biomechanical issue like Plantar Fasciitis, it often takes six to twelve weeks for the tissues to adapt to new orthotics or a strengthening regime. We will be honest about the timeframe required to see a lasting change. Our priority is ensuring your feet are resilient enough to support you for a lifetime of movement.
